Job Summary of Deli Team Member:

As a Deli Team Member, your responsibilities will include working at the deli service counter and prepared foods area to uphold the department's appearance, quality, diversity, and adherence to food safety standards. You will be tasked with fostering customer relationships and delivering eager assistance to align with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities of Deli Team Member:

• Welcome and aid clients in finding and choosing items.
• Provide exceptional and approachable customer support while utilizing expertise and abilities to present resolutions that surpass customer anticipations.
• Slice, chop, ready, measure, and wrap items following set criteria and excellence targets.
• Handling multiple requests at the same time while upholding customer satisfaction and meeting quality criteria.
• Providing assistance and backing at a service counter
• Maintain the highest quality standards for products to align with our department's strategic goals.
• Meet the productivity benchmarks specified in the Management Planning document.
• Enhance familiarity with different product categories within the department.
• Execute all designated sanitation duties following the guidelines established by the organization.
• Support in educating fellow colleagues and fulfilling additional duties as required

Qualifications of Deli Team Member:

• Background in deli, restaurant, or food industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Proficient communication, excellent customer support, and strong sales abilities.
• Proficient interpersonal abilities and a strong inclination towards collaborating with others.
• Capacity and readiness to grasp various responsibilities and technological aspects of the position.
• Effectively handling multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities in a high-speed setting.
• Compliance with age restrictions is mandatory.
• Must possess the necessary physical abilities to fulfill the job duties, with or without necessary modifications.
• Successful completion of Deli Service Case Associate training is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements of Deli Team Member:

• Lift up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally.
• Push/pull 3-15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Perform repetitive grasping, hand and arm motions while standing/walking the majority of the shift.
• Meet volume activity standards established for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items at or above waist level.
• Use hands to operate controls, feel objects and use tools to open boxes/cases or to prepare and clean produce.
• Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, and food products.
• Tolerate working in hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time
