The role of Meat Department Worker involves supervising the handling, cutting, and trimming of meat and seafood to meet The Fresh Market’s standards and as per the requests of our customers. You will also contribute to inventory management, maintaining pricing accuracy, merchandising products effectively, and assisting with other operational tasks that require a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities of Meat Department Worker:
- Stay updated on the store's products and weekly promotions, and cooperate with various departments to help customers find products and put together meal options
- Expertly manage the slicing, trimming, cutting, and handling of various high-grade meat and seafood products in the department, as well as assist in the production of convenient meal solutions that adhere to TFM standards
- Check the warmth in events, overflows, and storage venues
- Follow and enforce departmental protocols for the handling, storage, and unloading of deliveries to guarantee the freshness and quality of products, including activities involving cases, coolers, freezers, and the sales area
- Uphold departmental commitment to observing safety requirements and protocols, particularly in relation to food safety, as stipulated by TFM policies and relevant laws
Qualifications of Meat Department Worker:
- Meat Department Workers must achieve certification on The Fresh Market's internal training platform within a 90-day period following their hiring date.
- A background of two or more years in the field of meat slicing
- The minimum age requirement is 18 years old
