Job Summary of Customer Service Cashier:
The Customer Service Cashier position requires you to deliver efficient and courteous checkout service, accurately process customer transactions, and uphold cleanliness and organization in your work environment. Moreover, you will play a key role in creating a favorable shopping atmosphere by aiding customers and endorsing top-notch service standards.
Responsibilities of Customer Service Cashier:

- Clean Service Desk/Kiosk.
- It is important to always uphold a clean and polished personal image and comply with the company's personal appearance regulations.
- Offer assistance with unique initiatives and fulfill any other duties delegated by superiors.
- Follow the MPP framework within the organization to ensure optimal productivity levels.
- Follow and adhere to the safety regulations set forth by the company.
- Report any equipment repairs or maintenance tasks that are necessary. Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and potential dangers for safety purposes.
- Interact with all colleagues impartially, ensuring that they are treated with dignity and respect.
- Execute reliable price comparison operations.
- Manage the excessive depletion of store necessities such as ribbons, receipt tape, bags, and cleaning products.
- Ensure that any price divergences or items not registered in the system are recorded on the designated forms and request timely price verifications for these items in accordance with company protocols.
- Validate each customer's ID and follow store guidelines for accepting checks and selling tobacco/alcoholic items.
- Abide by the regulations concerning an abundance of cash in the registers and arrange for a cash collection as per the company's policies.
- Maintain security measures by staying attentive and vigilant to the behavior and activities of customers.
- Inform management or security of unusual behavior.
- Handle all types of store transactions, including cash, checks, authorized Accounts Receivable sales, Electronic Payments, WIC, coupons, gift cards, bottle credits, refunds, lottery, Western Union, etc., following established company guidelines and legal obligations.
- Keep the register protected whenever you step away and guarantee the security of company belongings consistently.
- Properly operate and preserve equipment to keep it in optimal condition, and immediately communicate any issues or breakdowns.
- Regularly ensure that the housekeeping and sanitation norms are met according to the policies of the store and relevant state and local health statutes.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the range of produce items stocked in the store and the ability to differentiate between various types, for example, distinguishing between different kinds of apples or types of lettuce.
- Regularly carry out cash register and customer support responsibilities.
- Complete tasks beyond the regular scope of work
Qualifications of Customer Service Cashier:

Physical Requirements of Customer Service Cashier:
- Engage hands regularly in the handling of currency, both in paper and coin form, while also managing various equipment such as a cash register, lottery terminal, scanner, computer, and calculator.
- Consistently bend down and pick up products that are 15 pounds in weight, regularly manage items of 25 pounds, and intermittently handle loads of up to 50 pounds.
- Move or carry loads of up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Regularly stretching and gripping items around waist height, with occasional reaching above the shoulders or below the waist.
- Meet the predetermined benchmarks for job-related tasks.
- Have adequate eyesight to inspect ID cards, checks, receipts, and other written materials.
- Maintain a standing position continuously with intermittent walks over brief distances.
