Job Summary of Assistant Deli Manager Trainee:

Supervise the retail functions associated with the designated department, actively participating in choices that affect store staff members, merchandise integrity, and the quality of service extended to our client base. Responsibilities of Assistant Deli Manager Trainee:

  • Administer department functions based on departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Keep up with the upkeep of the department's visual aesthetics and presentation standards.

  • Learn how to effectively employ corporate tools such as MPP, financial summaries, scheduling mechanisms, procurement processes, and enterprise information systems.
  • Maintain compliance with operational and merchandising standards to drive revenue growth, particularly in priority product categories.
  • Sustain strong lines of communication throughout the department and wider organization.
  • Watch and verify that company sanitation, safety, and food safety standards are being met.
  • It is crucial to grasp the factors that lead to shrinkage in order to effectively manage and decrease its occurrence.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of the standard practices manual and Program Manuals corresponding to the programs implemented by the departments you oversee.
  • Fulfill any supplementary obligations as instructed.
  • Solid comprehension of store operations and thorough total store merchandising approaches.
  • Exceptional skills in dealing with people, providing customer service, and communicating effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational aptitude and a displayed capability and enthusiasm to understand numerous tasks and technical prerequisites of the position.
  • Showcased effective problem-solving skills, decision-making capabilities, complaint resolution techniques, dispute arbitration strategies, and grievance settlement methods.

  • The role requires prior experience as a Department Manager or its equivalent.
  • It is advantageous to have completed a college program or its equivalent.
  • It is essential for candidates to be accredited as a Certified Food Safety Manager by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or a similar accrediting entity. If certification is not already possessed, attendance at company-provided training and obtaining accreditation within the first 90 days of employment is mandatory. Physical Requirements of Assistant Deli Manager Trainee:

  • Comprehensive grasp of the origins and solutions for inventory shrinkage issues within the allocated sections.
  • Comprehend the application of company instruments, including MPP software, financial records, agenda organization, procurement systems, and business intelligence technology.
  • Have a firm grasp of the typical operating methods within each department.
  • Foster transparent and consistent communication with the management team, store employees, and other teams within the organization.
  • All store data should be regarded as highly confidential and treated accordingly.
  • Execute any other duties and undertakings as designated.
