Sorting Technician

Role and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Sorting Technician include facilitating efficient warehouse functions and upholding accuracy in order processing:

• Participate as a team member to aid in the functionality of the distribution center.
• Accurately select and pack orders by following specified methods for safety and precision.
• Wrap and get ready processed store orders for shipping.
• Safely and effectively load shipments onto trucks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Receive deliveries from vendors and ready merchandise for the outbound picking and packing tasks.
• Refill merchandise in both primary and secondary storage locations as needed.
• Open, relocate, and unpack stock cases for replenishing inventory.
• Keep daily paperwork, records, and documentation error-free.
• Inspect sales records to disclose catalog codes, sizes, color alternatives, and quantities of inventory.
• Gather goods from storage compartments and shelves while ensuring precise inventory tracking.

Vital skills and necessary experience:

• The preferred credential is a high school diploma or GED.
• Skillfulness in team collaboration within a high-speed work environment.
• The ability to meticulously attend to details paired with strong organizational skills.
• Competency in accurately reading and adhering to provided directives.
• Consistent physical capability vital for the regular lifting and handling of goods.
• Firm determination to uphold safety standards and adhere to organizational guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior involvement in managing and overseeing distribution, warehouse, or logistics functions.
• Understanding of inventory management principles and the process of order picking.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills involve the talent to express oneself fluently in different languages.
