Role and Responsibilities of Quality Control Associate:

Your role as a Quality Control Associate revolves around maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting store environment, while also focusing on shrink reduction and upholding Food Lion's regulatory standards. Your dedication to these tasks significantly influences customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Preserve a high-energy customer-focused environment with a concentration on quick, friendly, and precise service.
  • Be respectful and offer assistance in a friendly manner to your colleagues.
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors during times when vendors are not scheduled.
  • Execute weekly sanitation measures for the Produce, Market, and Deli Departments.
  • Straighten up and manage the store utility closet.
  • Efficient task performance is crucial for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
  • Uphold sanitation standards and follow the daily QA checklist to ensure quality assurance.
  • Observe standard practices for handling and eliminating dangerous waste materials.
  • Comply with the regulations, directives, and standard protocols implemented by Food Lion.
  • Comply with the prescribed rules and regulations in place to maintain Food Safety and Workplace Safety standards.
  • Correct any unsafe conditions you come across and then notify the Manager on Duty as soon as possible.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure that legal standards are being met.
  • Project a professional and well-kept image by wearing the approved Food Lion uniform and visibly showcasing your name badge.
  • Attain proficiency in Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aids.
  • Complete any additional obligations as directed.

Required Skills and Experience of Quality Control Associate:

  • Having completed high school or a similar educational program is preferable.
  • Showcasing impressive competencies in establishing relationships, arranging duties, articulating messages effectively, and providing top-notch customer service.
  • Having the skill and motivation to learn numerous tasks and technical job demands effectively.
  • Capability to employ technical information in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Being of the required age is a fundamental requirement for engaging in particular job functions.
  • Having the capability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable adjustments.

Physical Requirements of Quality Control Associate:

  • Skills in utilizing computers and other communication systems are needed to carry out job functions.
  • Perform redundant hand and arm activities.
  • Bend consistently and raise items weighing up to 15 lbs, with frequent lifting of 25 lbs, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Transport items up to 75 lbs by either pushing or pulling when required.
  • Stay upright at all times, punctuated by frequent walks.
  • Handle the arrangement of cleaning and wrapping resources, along with a variety of fresh produce, indoor greenery, and household disinfectants.
  • Employ hands to handle cash and operate registers, lottery machines, scanners, and calculators.
  • Regularly reaching and grasping objects at the waist, with occasional movements above or below.
  • Reach the established quotas for activity and output.
  • Function in intense temperatures, whether hot or cold, for intervals lasting a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.
  • Possess the visual capability to validate identification, checks, invoices, and relevant documents.
