Deli Support Manager

Job Summary of Deli Support Manager:

In the event of the Deli Manager's absence, the Deli Support Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising all operations and activities within the Deli Department. The Deli Support Manager plays a supportive role to the Deli Manager by monitoring the day-to-day functions of the deli department to uphold exceptional levels of quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. This position involves overseeing deli staff, controlling inventory, arranging and showcasing deli items, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations

Responsibilities of Deli Support Manager:

• Responsible for the performance and supervision of all Deli Clerk responsibilities.
• Responsible for enforcing all of the company policies in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Responsible of the overall operation of the Deli Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Greet all customers and be observant.
• Abiding by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist the Deli Manager in observing local conditions and competitive activity relating to the Deli Department.
• Assist with cooking and preparing of all foods.
• Direct the operation of the hot foods cases.

Qualifications of Deli Support Manager:

• Minimum of one year of prior work history within the retail sector.
• It is essential to possess effective verbal and written communication abilities when interacting with clients and suppliers.
• - Proficiency in unloading, moving, and arranging products in their assigned locations.
• Proficiency in manual skills is necessary for cutting and preparing delicatessen items.
• Capable of lifting weights up to fifty pounds (50 lbs) for a portion of the time.
• Experiencing intense heat for about 20% of the time and encountering severe cold at 32 degrees for up to 20% of the time.
