Grocery Sales Associate

Company Overview:

Whole Foods Market is currently hiring for a Part-Time Grocery Stocker. As a Grocery Team Member, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, delivering excellent customer service, and assisting with inventory and checkout tasks. This role allows you to contribute to providing the community with high-quality, organic, and natural products.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Grocery Stocker, you will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the grocery department's operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional assistance to all customers visiting the store.
• Organize and stock dry goods, beverages, household products, and bulk items.
• Follow proper guidelines for product handling, including meeting required time and temperature conditions.
• Maintain product freshness by rotating back stock in the order it was stored.
• Collaborate with the Grocery Department Head to ensure product signage is accurate and up to date.
• Adhere to inventory management practices established by the organization.
• Assist the front-end team by scanning groceries, processing transactions, and carefully bagging items.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, grip, and carry objects weighing 50 75 pounds frequently.
• Capability to bend, squat, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable and proficient in working in cold environments, including refrigerated zones, freezers, and backroom storage areas.
• Use all senses (sight, hearing, smell) to interpret labels, evaluate product quality, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or grocery stocking is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a part-time position with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour. Weekly hours are up to 24, including one required weekend shift. Typical shifts include Monday 12:00 8:30 PM, Friday 12:00 8:30 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM 2:00 PM.
