Job Summary of Service Team Lead:
As a Service Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing front-end operations, supporting associates, and ensuring customers receive a positive and efficient experience. This role includes assigning tasks, assisting with cashiering and service desk duties, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and resolving customer concerns in a professional manner.
Responsibilities of Service Team Lead:
- It is necessary to observe and abide by all company policies and established procedures.
- Maintain a well-groomed and orderly personal demeanor following the company's personal appearance protocol.
- Assign pre-determined tasks to front end and service desk/kiosk associates during times of low customer traffic as detailed in the Service Leader Assignment Sheets
- Responsibility to aid in specific projects and fulfill other duties as designated by superiors.
- Uphold and adhere to all safety protocols established by the company.
- Please inform us about any equipment repairs or maintenance that are needed.
- Keep the work environment clean and free from any obstacles that could pose a safety threat.
- Follow security guidelines by staying attentive and being cognizant of customers' behaviors and actions.
- Alert the manager or security immediately if you notice any peculiar behavior.
- To uphold the security of company resources, it is essential to always lock the change drawer when not attended.
- Regulations on general housekeeping and sanitation must be consistently met in accordance with store policy and state and local health guidelines.
- Regularly fulfill roles involving cashiering and bagging
- Consistently fulfill service desk or kiosk responsibilities and, when adequately instructed, undertake bookkeeping functions
- Undertake any other responsibilities as designated.
Qualifications of Service Team Lead:
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions (18 years of age).
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service desk/kiosk.
- Promote customer goodwill by providing high standards in customer service and resolving issues quickly and courteously.
- Maintain effective work schedules for front-end & service desk/kiosk associates to meet business traffic requirements and minimize customer inconvenience.
- Handle cash pickups and change orders as requested and log as required.
- Verify all customer IDs presented and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks, and the sale of tobacco/alcoholic beverages.
- Provide customers and associates with hassle-free refunds while applying all applicable guarantees
- Supervise performance of all duties and responsibilities of all front-end and service desk/kiosk associates as assigned by Manager of Customer Service
- Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
- Provide recognition of accomplishments and offer constructive counseling when necessary.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Prerequisite Training:
- The training packets for service desk/kiosk stores have been concluded, comprising materials for cashier/service associate and service desk/kiosk roles
- Completion of Cashier Training for Non-Service Desk or Kiosk Stores: Successfully finished the training program designed for Cashiers in non-service desk or kiosk stores
Physical Requirements of Service Team Lead:
- Carry out repeated motions involving the hands and arms while standing or walking for the majority of the workday.
- Perform bending and lifting tasks with objects weighing up to 15 pounds constantly, 25 pounds often, and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Occasionally, exert a force of up to 75 pounds in a pushing or pulling motion.
- Carry out duties in all types of weather conditions as required.
- Retrieve up to five shopping carts and convey them to their designated spots.
- Able to manage a diverse array of materials like cleaning materials, packaging supplies, fresh produce, flowers, and household disinfectants.
- Exhibit proper visual acuity for the verification of identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written forms.
