Front Desk Attendant

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Front Desk Attendant, you will play an essential role in customer satisfaction and store efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

• Present a friendly and professional demeanor when greeting customers.
• Assist with customer transactions, loyalty program redemptions, and inquiries.
• Provide guidance on product-related queries and offer suggestions to help customers find the right items.
• Comply with company policies concerning restricted items, including alcohol and tobacco.
• Ensure that the front desk and register area is clean, secure, and sanitized.
• Balance and reconcile cash or system totals according to company policies.
• Promote Kroger services, programs, and promotions through targeted communication.
• Report pricing discrepancies, safety concerns, and theft incidents promptly.
• Support team collaboration and maintain a positive work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain professional under pressure.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in cashier, customer service, or retail roles.
• Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
