Job Summary of Produce Clerk:

This position focuses on maintaining fresh, high-quality produce while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves stocking, organizing, and rotating fruits and vegetables, ensuring displays are visually appealing and products meet freshness standards. Responsibilities of Produce Clerk:

• Assist customers by answering questions, locating items, and fulfilling special requests.
• Stock and rotate products following the first-in, first-out method to maintain freshness.
• Ensure the produce area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
• Monitor and record temperature and freshness of all produce items regularly.
• Maintain supply levels such as roll bags, twist ties, and related items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.
• Comply with safety and sanitation standards while operating department equipment.
• Adhere to scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays, and provide notice for absences.

Qualifications and Experience of Produce Clerk:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Understanding of food safety procedures and retail operations.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
