The Deli Bakery Representative is accountable for overseeing the stocking and cleanliness of all food displays during business hours. Providing customer assistance as necessary and maintaining a cheerful, enthusiastic presence is part of the job description. It is essential to adhere to all procedural protocols established by the Food Service Department in this role.

Responsibilities of Deli Bakery Representative:

• Guarantees the sanitation of deli and bakery showcases, storage facilities, and workspaces for safety measures; responsibilities include tidying shelves and products, preventing floor wetness or spills, and clearing away risky debris through sweeping.
• Deli/bakery case stocking involves the presentation of products in an appealing way, ensuring they are facing forward, adequately filled, and structured based on the Deli/Bakery Service Department's guidelines, in addition to checking for tag and pricing precision.
• Analyzes the management of deli and bakery inventory rotation, with a particular emphasis on identifying expired items and discarding those that are outdated or spoiled.
• Addressing customer inquiries in a positive manner and aiding them in making purchases, providing information, and helping with product selection necessitates selling and recommending complementary products.
• Inspects, records, and categorizes items to ensure the correctness of the delivery, temperature adequacy, and quality assessment.
• Monitors the placement of purchase point materials; ensures a diverse range of recipe cards, discounts, promotional content, and information on complimentary food items.
• The role entails operating and managing equipment like knives, scales, packaging machines, compactors, waste disposals, pallet jacks, and manual carts.
• Crafts a selection of deli and bakery items, utilizing the right ingredients and cooking each product for the correct duration.
• Utilizes grasp of scales and measurements to accurately weigh and assign labels to items.
• Contributes to pre-inventory setup, which encompasses arranging back stock and validating tag precision with items.
• Sustains extensive knowledge about products and the appropriate methods for their preparation.
• Regularly strolls through the department to ensure it remains clean, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing.

Qualification of Deli Bakery Representative:

• Achieving a high school graduation certificate or its equal.
• Candidates with 1-2 years of grocery retail experience are preferred, especially with exposure to Food Service department operations.
