Job Summary of Meat Prep Clerk:

Meat Prep Clerk are responsible for keeping the pre-packaged meat section well stocked and orderly in appearance.Meat Prep Clerk will order and unload product, stock shelves and build displays; as required.Meat Prep Clerk will maintain a clean work area, follow all safety rules and perform other tasks as assigned.Other tasks to be performed may be in a meat prep area.They must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers.

Responsibilities of Meat Prep Clerk:

• Assist in the packaging and labeling of various meat products according to regulations
• Arrange meat cabinets and uphold attractive product presentations through restocking
• Guarantee the correct weighing, pricing, and wrapping of meat selections
• Maintain the freshness of items by regularly rotating them and removing any expired products
• Regularly sanitize and keep the meat counters, tools, and equipment clean to adhere to hygiene regulations
• Help with the handling and storage of incoming meat shipments
