Warehouse Associate

As a Distribution Center Receiver, your role is integral to ensuring the precision, safety, and efficiency of receiving operations that are fundamental to the smooth progression of products through the supply chain.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage responsibilities related to receiving and storing products, such as unloading deliveries, verifying with RF scanners, arranging items in designated spaces, overseeing cross-dock activities, and selecting flow-through inventory.
• Be punctual at the workplace, well-dressed, and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
• Observe OSHA and Whole Foods standards when operating a powered pallet jack or forklift.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA and facility safety policies.
• Report any accidents or injuries promptly to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership.
• Manage the unloading of truck shipments, validate with bill of lading, record in the warehouse management system, and arrange for storage allocation.
• Inspect received products to ensure they meet food safety regulations.
• Properly tag items for storage after verification.
• Perform putaway tasks as necessary and maintain all equipment related to the role.
• Handle the intake, arrangement, and selection of products in transit accurately.
• Stage all cross-dock items appropriately upon check-in.
• Maintain clean and organized areas for receiving products, recyclables, and waste.
• Load sustainable materials and products onto trucks for delivery.
• Complete all inbound paperwork accurately.
• Attend and actively engage in all team and facility meetings.

• Proficiency in safely operating all essential machinery.
• Commitment to meeting customer service expectations with vendors, clients, and team members.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
• Knowledge of quality objectives and strong product expertise relevant to Whole Foods Market operations.
• Dependable and responsible in task execution.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience in various receiving operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 to $39.60 depending on experience.
• Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, store discounts, paid time off, and participation in additional benefit programs.
• Eligibility for Full Benefits is based on the plan in effect at the time of hire.
