Job Summary of Grocery Packaging Associate:
The Grocery Packaging Associate is in charge of aiding the Grocery/Bulk and Dairy/Frozen Managers in keeping the departments running smoothly and profitably. The Grocery Bulk Assistant is in charge of keeping the bulk foods section looking neat, clean, and well-stocked.
Responsibilities of Grocery Packaging Associate:
- Emphasizing world-class customer service as the top priority.

- Constructing enticing and easily accessible retail departments that support shopping activities.
- Supporting departmental managers in ordering for the grocery, bulk, dairy, and frozen departments and verifying inventory levels for accuracy.
- Aiding department managers in the effective management of margin, COGs, and department profitability by minimizing shrink and enhancing the efficiency of procurement.
- Validating that the quality of all available products/conditions meets the company's expectations.
- Providing and checking up on customized orders.
- Product showcasing on shelves, endcaps, and inventive displays.
- Providing support in handling tagging, displaying, rotating, tidying, marking down, restocking, and storing excess merchandise.
- Aiding in the instruction and supervision of department staff, which involves delegating and tracking tasks.

- Supporting the commencement and conclusion of store operations, which includes tasks like generating the Daily Sales Report (DSR) and managing cash transactions, as well as fulfilling obligations concerning the closure of cashier shifts.
- Responsibilities concerning register operations, such as backup cashiering, overseeing customer returns, resolving complaints from patrons, and managing transitions for register shifts, notably during scheduled breaks.

- Guiding customers with responses that align with company standards and policies, including language that supports health or nutrition in a manner compliant with regulations.
- Continuously advancing understanding of diverse products.
- Using SAP in coordination with inventory management software, and utilizing email and other IS programs as required.
- Working a schedule based on store needs which includes evenings, weekends, holidays. Position requires working five days, 40 hours per week and attending mandatory store meetings.
- Despite having some manager on duty tasks, this position is not designated as the primary manager on duty for the store.
Qualifications of Grocery Packaging Associate:
- Candidates who possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent are preferred.
- Preference is given to applicants with one year of experience in a grocery or retail setting, with a bonus for those with a background in natural foods.
- Ideal candidates will have one year of experience overseeing others.
- Demonstrating proficiency in completing food safety training programs and certifications as stipulated by legislation and ensuring adherence through regular certification updates and registration.
- Capacity to handle shifting responsibilities and maintain concentration on the current objective.

Physical requirements of Grocery Packaging Associate:
