Role and Responsibilities of Customer Service Sales Associate:

As a Customer Service Sales Associate, you will provide fast, flexible, and friendly service to customers while supporting department managers in maintaining operational and merchandising standards. Your role ensures a positive shopping experience and adherence to food safety guidelines.

• Ensure exceptional customer assistance at the front end, encompassing responsibilities like scanning items, packing bags, and maintaining cleanliness in checkout areas.
• Supply Food Lion To Go customers with timely and accurate assistance.
• Maintain the necessary quantities of products, sanitation measures, and appropriate food handling procedures in the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery departments.
• Practice safe handling techniques while using equipment like pallet jacks, slicers, and cash registers.
• Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
• Transfer empty bottles and containers from the front section to the backroom where applicable.
• Comply with safety protocols, food safety standards, and store procedures consistently.
• Assist in performing miscellaneous tasks as instructed by management to ensure smooth running of operations.

Required Skills and Experience of Customer Service Sales Associate:

• The art of effectively communicating and providing exceptional customer care skills.
• Capability and enthusiasm to understand diverse tasks and technical abilities.
• Satisfy the minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Capability to meet physical demands that involve lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for the entirety of shifts, and utilizing cleaning and packaging materials.
• Proficient operation of computers and other communication systems is essential to execute job functions.
• Preserve a meticulous approach when carrying out repetitive hand and arm motions.
