Job Summary:

In their role, the Retail Associate is essential in elevating the shopping experience for customers by offering exceptional customer service, arranging displays thoughtfully, and ensuring the sales floor is well-kept, secure, and inviting.

Core Responsibilities and Key Areas of Accountability:

• Delivers superior customer service by warmly welcoming, assisting, and expressing gratitude to all members in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner. Addresses member issues courteously and promptly escalates to management as needed.
• Maintains a clear understanding of merchandise protection procedures and the appropriate responses to shrink alert signals.
• Ensures the AP Alert Binder is up-to-date and follows the regulations set by AP.
• Follow the BEST (bottom of the cart, electronics, self-checkout, and thanking the member) procedures including cross-checking merchandise to member register receipts and verifying high dollar value items. Records register receipt discrepancies and notifies front line to immediately rectify the situation.
• Audits are performed on Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside Pick-up, and Same Day Delivery following the company's specified procedures.
• Confirm the adherence to repack awareness protocols by analyzing recognized repack merchandise.
• Ensure the control and surveillance of club visitors and members as they move in and out of the facility, managing the traffic efficiently
• Reacts to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms following established response procedures.
• Ensures that safety remains a top priority for both team members and individuals.
• Inspects the bags, backpacks, briefcases, and lunch boxes of departing individuals in adherence to security protocols.
• Executes the verification process for members returning empty water jugs using vouchers.
• Upholds and enforces the club's policies and procedures consistently.
• Handles other duties as designated, which may involve fulfilling roles in different departments when necessary.
• Consistent attendance that is predictable and complete is a crucial function of this role.

Qualifications:

• Essential for this role are adept interpersonal skills and a meticulous attitude.
• Fundamental math skills are preferred.
• Expertise in utilizing a cutting-edge mobile gadget.
• The accomplishment of the compulsory training and certification steps is vital.
• Eligibility for the position necessitates a consistent employment term of six months with the company.
• Individuals must be 18 years of age or older.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• The constant activity involves being upright and mobile on hard surfaces.
• At times, tasks like bending, pulling, reaching, stooping, and using ladders/step stools may be necessary.
• Task might involve occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Being impacted by both indoor and outdoor temperature exposures.
