Cashier

Job Summary:

Join Wegmans as a cashier and ensure customers leave with a positive shopping experience. Engage with customers, provide assistance, and efficiently process transactions at both traditional and self-checkout lanes. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engage customers in friendly conversation, offer assistance, and express gratitude for choosing Wegmans
• Efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments at the register
• Properly bag items to maintain product integrity during transport
• Manage traffic flow and assist customers at self-checkout lanes, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting any system issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space to enhance the shopping experience

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required
