Job Summary of Dairy Shelf Stocker:

To maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the dairy department. A Dairy Shelf Stocker is responsible for maintaining the dairy department by ensuring shelves, coolers, and displays are fully stocked, clean, and well-organized. This role involves rotating products to ensure freshness, checking expiration dates, and removing outdated or damaged items.

Responsibilities of Dairy Shelf Stocker:

• Assist in unloading the merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control level of damaged goods.
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.

Qualifications of Dairy Shelf Stocker:

• The capability to read and write proficiently is crucial for appropriately tagging merchandise, controlling inventory levels, and overseeing the rotation of products.
• Competency in transporting, unloading, and situating merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to manage lifting tasks of 70 pounds for 40% of the work duration.
• Capability in comprehending and adhering to instructions presented either in writing or verbally.
