Responsibilities of Produce Department Clerk:

• Keeps the produce department, floral section, storage area, and work area tidy and hazard-free by cleaning shelves and items, ensuring floors are free of spills and water, and eliminating any dangerous debris from the surroundings.
• Responsibilities in the stocks department cover the upkeep of the floral section, which incorporates tasks such as displaying items in an appealing manner, regularly changing the placement of products, keeping shelves adequately stocked, and arranging merchandise according to the designated Produce Department blueprint while also double-checking price tags to ensure correctness.
• Responds to customer questions with enthusiasm and helps them with buying decisions, inquiries, and selecting suitable products; includes recommending and promoting various products.
• Checks, examines, and registers merchandise to verify its shipment precision, temperature appropriateness, and quality level.
• Oversees the signage at the point of sale, making sure there is a diverse selection of recipe cards, promotional offers, informational materials, and details about complementary food products.
• Mandates the operation and handling of various tools, including but not limited to knives, scales, wrapping devices, compactors, waste management systems, pallet jacks, and hand-operated trucks.
• Engaging in pre-inventory preparation entails activities like managing back stock and verifying that tags correspond correctly to the products.
• Takes part in managing the sliced produce program.

Qualification of Produce Department Clerk:
