Job Summary:

As a Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering that experience by leading one of our dynamic store departments. You'll be responsible for everything from team development and customer satisfaction to sales performance and product excellence.

We're seeking a passionate, food-savvy leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings out the best in others, and is ready to elevate department operations with creativity and strategic insight. This position reports directly to a Director and plays a key role in Central Market's long-term success.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Development
  Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing department sales team.
• Make independent personnel decisions including hiring, training, evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain a department culture focused on service, learning, and results.
• Operations Management
  Oversee all aspects of daily department operations, ensuring quality, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory levels, control shrink, and manage product rotation and freshness.
• Ensure all federal, state, and company regulations are met, particularly regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Sales & Customer Experience
  Champion exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs and resolving concerns with professionalism.
• Merchandise products effectively to increase visibility, drive sales, and meet department goals.
• Identify local trends, promote special events, and tailor offerings to enhance the community shopping experience.
• Financial Oversight
  Manage departmental budget, including labor and supply costs, to align with store-wide goals.
• Analyze sales reports and implement strategic initiatives to improve profitability.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product quality and availability.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of leadership experience in retail, food service, or catering required.
• Demonstrated success in team development and performance management.
• Strong background in customer service and food merchandising.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary:

Estimated Range: $68,000 $82,000/year
Based on experience and qualifications. Bonus eligibility based on performance.
