Role and Responsibilities:

You will ensure customers enjoy exceptional service and are motivated to return by providing a top-notch customer experience and upholding a tidy and secure atmosphere. Your support in reaching sales targets and profit objectives, overseeing quality assurance measures, and working closely with the Deli/Bakery staff to interact with customers will be integral.

• Deliver outstanding customer service by providing exceptional assistance and offering complimentary product samples to assist customers in exploring unfamiliar products
• Uphold the security and tidiness of the area while guaranteeing adherence to food safety protocols
• Precisely handle, wrap, mark, and track cheese items correctly
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring expiration dates and acting promptly to avoid loss
• Keep customers updated on exclusive promotions at the Cheese Shop and address any inquiries about the products available
• Utilize kitchen tools and appliances to combine and proportion ingredients based on cooking instructions
• Organize, tag, and manage store inventory, alerting supervisors to any inconsistencies found
• Ensure that the correct temperatures are maintained within storage units and chillers while also documenting precise records
• Strengthen safety initiatives by recognizing and communicating any hazardous situations and occurrences
• Collaborate effectively in a dynamic setting and handle disagreements in a respectful manner

Skills and qualifications needed:

• Effective communication skills
• Fundamental mathematics abilities such as enumeration, adding, and deducting
• Demonstrating composure in dealing with challenging circumstances
• Completion of high school or an equivalent level of education is required
• Previous background in retail sales is advantageous
• Familiarity with the items within the department to address inquiries and offer recommendations
• Demonstrating the capacity to adhere to instructions and request help when necessary
• Capability to carry out necessary job duties with or without necessary adjustments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on involvement in a retail or grocery setting
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols is essential
