Additionally, you will be involved in preserving fully stocked and orderly sections such as groceries, general goods, dairy, and frozen foods, guaranteeing the freshness of products, and supporting in the reception and unloading of supplier shipments. Responsibilities of Grocery Clerk:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs and deliver exceptional service.
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper date control, and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely and according to guidelines.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise and promptly unload truck deliveries.
• Manage checkout lanes according to service standards and maintain accurate sales records.
• Return carts to the shopping cart corral.
• Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal or against company policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
