Role and Responsibilities:

The Grocery Clerk ensures a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked department while providing friendly and efficient customer service. Responsibilities include:

• Greet and assist customers courteously, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
• Offer product suggestions to enhance the shopping experience.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen items to guarantee freshness and accurate date control.
• Replenish shelves efficiently while minimizing waste and managing supply costs.
• Safely operate department equipment and tools.
• Assist with receiving vendor deliveries and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
• Monitor for theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and report concerns to management promptly.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to store operations and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Meet minimum age requirements per company policy and legal standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing.
• Preferred: Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and accountability.
