Role and Responsibilities:
The Grocery Clerk ensures a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked department while providing friendly and efficient customer service. Responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist customers courteously, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
- Offer product suggestions to enhance the shopping experience.
- Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen items to guarantee freshness and accurate date control.
- Replenish shelves efficiently while minimizing waste and managing supply costs.
- Safely operate department equipment and tools.
- Assist with receiving vendor deliveries and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
- Monitor for theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and report concerns to management promptly.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to store operations and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Meet minimum age requirements per company policy and legal standards.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing.
- Preferred: Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and accountability.
