Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage responsibilities related to receiving and storing products, including unloading deliveries, verifying with RF scanners, arranging items in designated spaces, overseeing cross-dock activities, and selecting flow-through inventory.
- Arrive at the workplace on time, with appropriate grooming, attire, and readiness for all scheduled shifts.
- Maintain OSHA and Whole Foods compliance while operating a powered pallet jack or forklift.
- Uphold a safe, tidy, and well-maintained work environment.
- Observe and comply with all safety rules required by OSHA and the facility.
- Report any accidents or injuries immediately to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership.
- Offload merchandise from delivery vehicles, confirm accuracy with bill of lading, input data into the warehouse management software, and prepare for storage organization.
- Inspect incoming goods to verify adherence to food safety guidelines.
- Correctly label items for placement upon completion of verification.
- Carry out putaway tasks as necessary and oversee the care of all machinery connected to the role.
- Maintain accuracy in receiving, arranging, and selecting products in continuous flow.
- Stage all cross-dock shipments appropriately after check-in.
- Keep areas designated for receiving goods, recyclables, and trash free of obstacles.
- Load environmentally-friendly materials and products onto trucks for transportation.
- Accurately complete all inbound paperwork tasks.
- Attend all team and facility meetings without missing any.
Necessary Qualifications and Expertise:
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in teamwork.
- Competence in operating all essential machinery safely and effectively.
- Commitment to meeting customer service expectations with vendors, customers, and team members.
- Ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
- Familiarity with quality targets and expertise in product details within WFM operations.
- Demonstrated reliability and ownership in completing assignments.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of hands-on experience in receiving operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly compensation ranges from $22.00 to $39.60, based on experience.
- Benefits include health insurance, retirement benefits, store discounts, paid time off, and the option to participate in additional benefit programs.
- Eligibility for full benefits is determined by the plan in effect at the time of hire.
