Job Summary of Store Meat Cutter:

This position plays a key role in maintaining the freshness, appearance, and availability of meat products. The individual is responsible for preparing a variety of meat cuts, assisting customers with selection and preparation advice, and ensuring department cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Store Meat Cutter:

Maintain a fully stocked and visually appealing meat department to meet customer demand.
Cut, trim, bone, and grind meat products as needed or per customer request.
Greet and assist customers with meat selection and preparation guidance.
Ensure proper product rotation, storage, and food safety practices.
Monitor freshness and quality of displayed products.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and display cases.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.

Qualifications and Experience of Store Meat Cutter:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in meat cutting or food preparation is preferred.
Knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation techniques, and safety standards.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to operate meat cutting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
