Full-Time Store Associate (NEW STORE)

Job Summary:

Store Associates at ALDI wear many hats to keep the store operating at its best.You will merchandise products, manage the checkout process, and keep the store clean.Every task you complete helps create a pleasant and efficient shopping trip for customers.Collaboration with your teammates will be key to meeting store goals.By providing excellent service, you will help build trust and loyalty with every shopper.

Responsibilities:

• You must be able to complete tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrate ALDI’s Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) in your role.
• Perform duties such as processing customer purchases, cleaning, stocking shelves, and merchandising.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
• Work closely with team members and communicate clearly with management.
• Report inventory issues, scanning errors, and other concerns to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure stock accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies to reduce losses.
• Adhere to company policies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Ability to stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
• Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in retail is a plus.
• A mix of education and experience that provides similar knowledge is also acceptable.
