Job Summary of Bakery Stock Clerk:

Helping to manage and operate the Bakery Department. A Bakery Stock Clerk provides exceptional service to customers while also taking care of the bakery section's daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing, packaging, labeling, and stocking baked goods like bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Responsibilities of Bakery Stock Clerk:

• Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.
• Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.
• Wrap, package, and price all products accurately and legibly.
• Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program established by company policies.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Greet all customers and be observant to your surroundings.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Assist in baking of products.
• Assist in taking a cake order for customers.
• Assist in unloading and properly putting away merchandise as it is delivered.

Qualifications of Bakery Stock Clerk:

• Adequate customer service provision requires excellent communication skills.
• Successful wrapping and packaging rely on nimble hand abilities.
• Reading and writing skills are imperative for correctly labeling and pricing items.
• Candidates should be capable of lifting objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds depending on the situation.
