Job Summary of Food Service Crew Member:
The Food Service Crew Member is responsible for keeping all food service cases stocked and clean during business hours. They are required to assist customers as needed and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Food Service Department.
Responsibilities of Food Service Crew Member:
- Secures the cleanliness of food service units, storage facilities, and work areas to ensure a safe environment; this includes tasks such as organizing shelves and merchandise, preventing floors from having any liquid spills or excess water, and removing hazardous debris from the ground by sweeping.
- Responsible for stocking and arranging food items in showcases in accordance with Food Service Department schematics, emphasizing product presentation and accurate pricing.
- Studies the rotation practices for all food service merchandise, emphasizing the detection and removal of expired stock and spoiled items.
- Demonstrates a customer-centric approach in addressing inquiries and aiding customers with their purchases, providing informative support and assistance in choosing products, with a focus on recommending additional items.
- Checks, records, and inspects products to guarantee the precision of shipping, temperature monitoring, and quality assessment.
- Checks the displays near the point of purchase to ensure a mix of recipe cards, product coupons, promotional items, and information on complimentary foods.
- Involves working with and using equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, waste disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Sets up diverse food service selections by choosing the appropriate ingredients and cooking them for the correct periods.
- Applies understanding of scales and measures of weight to precisely weigh and identify products.
- Engages in pre-inventory organization, which includes handling back stock and confirming tag accuracy with items.
- Shows a constant commitment to mastering product details and preparation procedures.

Qualification of Food Service Crew Member:
