In order to manage pricing, stocking, and the orderly presentation of merchandise within the dairy department, a Dairy Department Associate is responsible for these vital functions. Their obligations involve supervising inventory levels, arranging products in an appealing manner, and adjusting prices as necessary. They are also accountable for ensuring product freshness through proper rotation, inspecting expiration dates for accuracy, and eliminating any items that are expired or unfit for sale.

Responsibilities of Dairy Department Associate:

• Assist in unloading the merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control level of damaged goods.
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.

Qualifications of Dairy Department Associate:

• Proficiency in reading and writing to accurately identify merchandise, supervise inventory levels, and facilitate product rotation.
• Competence in handling, transporting, and depositing merchandise in designated spots.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, accounting for 40% of the workload.
• Skill in carrying out tasks according to outlined written and oral guidance.
