Produce Sales Associate

Job Summary of Produce Sales Associate:

Assist in sustaining and operating the Produce Department, guaranteeing the freshness, well-stocked shelves, and attractive showcasing of products to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities of Produce Sales Associate:

• Carry out assessments to determine the quality, count, and freshness of products before communicating this information to stakeholders.
• Ready products for sale within the sales area by completing tasks such as trimming, packaging, weighing, and pricing
• Display goods in an orderly and visually appealing style.
• Monitor and uphold freshness regulations for the counters.
• Keeping equipment in good condition and maintaining the cleanliness of the backroom and sales area.
• Stay observant of the case temperatures and inform the manager in charge promptly of any temperature issues that arise.
• Sustain solid customer connections through timely and courteous service.
• Follow the official guidelines and protocols designated for the department.
• Uphold cleanliness by following the clean as you go initiative.
• Get to know the product and its practical applications.
• Address all customers with courtesy and be attentive to their conduct.
• Respect and adhere to the policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Assist in the handling of incoming products.
• Move goods to designated cooling areas and storage sections.
• Watch over stock levels and inform the Produce Manager when new orders are necessary.

Qualifications of Produce Sales Associate:

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately count product and match against invoices.
• Must have strong communication skills for assisting the customers.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable trimming and packaging of produce.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in their specified areas.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
