Job Summary of Grocery Crew Member:

As a Grocery Crew Member in Winn-Dixie's, you are vital to creating a pleasant shopping environment for customers. Your tasks will include welcoming, helping, and expressing gratitude to customers promptly, kindly, and amiably, accurately recording sales, and effectively using cashier equipment while acknowledging all payment types. You will contribute to the upkeep of fully supplied and systematically arranged grocery, general goods, dairy, and frozen food sections, ensuring the freshness of items, and supporting with receiving and unloading deliveries from suppliers. Responsibilities of Grocery Crew Member:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs and deliver exceptional service.
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper date control, and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely and according to guidelines.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise and promptly unload truck deliveries.
• Manage checkout lanes according to service standards and maintain accurate sales records.
• Return carts to the shopping cart corral.
• Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal or against company policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Grocery Crew Member:

• Meet the specified age criteria as mandated by legal and company policies in order to fulfill job responsibilities.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English with competence is required.
• Skill in interpreting and complying with instructions communicated in English.
• Fulfilling pre-hiring drug testing and a comprehensive background examination.
