Job Summary of Driver:

This role ensuring that customer orders are delivered safely and on time. This role requires professional, outgoing, and timely behavior while driving. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong understanding of basic math and pass a pre-placement screening process, including background checks and vehicle record reviews. This role is vital for maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational excellence that Stop & Shop upholds.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Driver:

• Ensure timely and safe delivery of customer orders to designated locations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers at all times.
• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles.
• Accurately handle deliveries, ensuring the correct items are delivered as per the order.
• Coordinate with the store team to ensure optimal routing and on-time deliveries.
• Report any delivery issues or customer concerns to management promptly.
• Assist in other store-related tasks as needed based on the operational demands of the store.

Qualifications and Experience of Driver:

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to pass a pre-placement screening, including background checks, vehicle record reviews, and strength/endurance evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of basic math for order accuracy.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
• Previous driving experience is a plus.
• Must have a clean driving record and the ability to operate delivery vehicles safely.
