Whole Foods Market is seeking a Store Support Supervisor (Customer Service, Front End Support) for a full-time position. This role involves supporting the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) in daily operations, supervising team members, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while upholding the values and standards of Whole Foods Market.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Store Support Supervisor, you will supervise Store Support Team Members, assist with scheduling, and ensure efficient departmental operations. Additionally, you will support training initiatives, resolve issues, and drive operational excellence throughout the store.
- Direct and delegate responsibilities to the Store Support Team Members.
- Collaborate with the Team Trainer to coach and develop new Team Members using learning checklists and training resources.
- Keep shelves and cases tidy, well-stocked, and ensure products are rotated correctly.
- Attend to customer issues with courtesy and efficiency.
- Monitor screens, staff attendance, and team challenges; communicate any issues to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to retail standards and model Whole Foods Market's core principles.
- Create a cooperative, respectful, and positive environment for the team.
- Provide performance feedback, evaluations, and support team member development.
- Monitor customer needs and guide the team to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Store Support team operational policies and procedures.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with effective decision-making ability.
- In-depth product knowledge and awareness of new product launches.
- Experience in regulatory and safety compliance through hands-on involvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email systems, and operational applications.
- Strong math skills to drive financial performance and manage inventory efficiently.
- At least 12 months of prior retail experience.
Workload Expectations and Environmental Factors:
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for 6 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, pivot, stoop, and stretch as needed.
- Work in wet, cold, and hot conditions.
- Use FDA-approved cleaning agents safely when required.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate tools and machinery such as cutting tools, material movers, and heavy-duty equipment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.10, depending on experience.
