Responsibilities of Cash Counter Lead:

• Enhance the customer experience by proactively checking registers and offering guidance and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks
• Offer solutions and assistance to customers facing challenges while checking out their items
• Enforce store sweeps, monitor cash register provisions, and ensure cleanliness standards in parking lots and bathrooms
• Ensuring that exit doors are clearly visible plays a key role in addressing security issues and preventing losses effectively
• Manage and oversee the scheduling and implementation of proper meal and rest intervals in accordance with company policy and state requirements
• Aid in the recruitment and training of new Cashiers, including overseeing disciplinary actions as necessary

Qualifications of Cash Counter Lead:

• Those interested should be over 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience, along with leadership training.
• Exhibit your reliability and dedication by being adaptable to working unconventional hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays, in order to align with the evolving priorities of the organization.
• Show an extroverted and welcoming behavior, embrace a positive attitude, and excel in customer interactions, representing a model for behavior.
• Capability in the operation of front-end devices such as the register, calculator, and scanner.
• Showing proficient communication skills, being open to feedback, and actively participating as a team member are key strengths
• Demonstrate the ability to engage in repetitive tasks, efficiently multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain organizational effectiveness.
• The role requires the ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30 lbs. either vertically or horizontally, with distances varying from 36 to 24 inches, without mechanical assistance, for a total of 50 hours.
• The action of moving grocery carts from side to side involves exerting a force of up to 35 pounds using both hands, for distances of up to 4 feet, and potentially for a duration of 50 hours.
• Attention to detail and skill in numerical tasks are of utmost importance; adept in cash management and mathematical abilities; capability in reading, writing, and numerical counting is necessary.
