Job Summary of Associate Store Manager:

In the event that the Store Manager is unavailable, take charge of running the entire store smoothly.Support the implementation of store operations to achieve financial and sales objectives. Foster strong connections with associates and customers to reinforce a cohesive culture aligned with the Hannaford Strategy.Ensure open communication with the management team, store staff, and other organizational units for streamlined coordination.

Qualification of Associate Store Manager:

• It is preferred to have completed a college program or gained experience in Retail Management.
• Proficient in store management operations and overall store presentation tactics.
• Adept at interpersonal and organizational aptitudes, along with exceptional communication and customer service proficiencies.
• Proficiency in directing and supervising a team.
• Exhibited aptitude and readiness to grasp numerous tasks and the technical aspects required for the role.Proficient in leveraging technical expertise to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Being capable and ready to fulfill a work schedule that caters to the operational demands of the business.
• Candidates must either already be certified as a Certified Food Safety Manager by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or a comparable accrediting entity, or commit to completing company-provided training and gaining accreditation within the first three months of being employed.
• The maintenance of accreditation is essential for individuals in accredited positions.

Physical Requirements of Associate Store Manager:

• You will be required to lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis, including overhead, and occasionally handle objects weighing up to 60 lbs. Push or pull up to 40 lbs regularly as well.
• Meet the accepted standards for volume and activity.
• Remain upright or in motion continuously.
• Consistent actions of extending, gripping, and elevating individual merchandise items at varying heights.
• Frequently performing movements that involve bending, kneeling, and squatting.
• Possess the skill to deal with different substances used in cleaning agents, packaging items, and food goods.
• Be able to withstand extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold, for periods of up to 20 minutes.
• The job necessitates the capacity to operate computers, calculators, and various communication systems effectively.

• Aid in reaching financial milestones including sales figures, monitoring the percentage of total revenue spent on payroll, preserving gross margin percentages, minimizing losses due to theft or damage, optimizing net sales effectiveness per unit area, and managing miscellaneous expenses effectively.
• Cultivate a vibrant customer-oriented environment, prioritizing gracious and amiable interactions with clients.
• Make sure to comply with all company regulations and guidelines as specified.
• Uphold the consistent application of methods and designs in line with the company's merchandising principles.
• Thorough understanding of the factors contributing to inventory loss and the methods to rectify shrinkage concerns within the assigned departments.
• Supervise to make certain that all company regulations concerning security, safety, and food safety are being followed accordingly.
• Comprehend the application of organizational instruments like MPP software, financial documentation, timetable coordination, procurement strategies, and business data frameworks.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the training materials and standard protocols applicable to the Center Store. Maintain the confidentiality of all store information at all times.
• Fulfill all other tasks and projects as designated.
