Job Summary of Pharmacy Assistant:

This role supports the pharmacy team by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. The technician works under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pharmacy Assistant:

• Help pharmacists in the compounding, dispensing, and delivery of prescription medication while adhering to state and federal guidelines.
• Administer inventory control by acquiring, storing, and tracing pharmacy materials and medicines.
• Accurately manage medication requests by employing pharmacy software programs effectively.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering questions and guiding them as needed.
• Ensure a hygienic, arranged, and protected setting within the pharmacy.
• Aid pharmacy employees with clerical responsibilities and ensuring adherence to regulatory documentation.
• Comply with all workplace rules and guidelines for safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications and Experience of Pharmacy Assistant:

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician possessing an official certification acknowledged in the state of operation.
• Prior work experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred.
• Sharp eye for detail and proficiency in carrying out rigid processes.
• Proficient in interpersonal interaction and adept at handling customer inquiries with care and professionalism.
• Capacity to adjust working hours, potentially covering weekends and holidays.
