The Grocery Produce Assistant is tasked with aiding the Produce Manager in managing and ensuring the financial success of the produce section.
Responsibilities of Grocery Produce Assistant:

- The day-to-day upkeep of the department involves the responsibility of making sure the produce section remains fresh, well-stocked, and abundant throughout the day.
- Sorting, preserving freshness, turning, and effectively handling vegetables and fruits.
- Certifying that only organic-certified fruits and vegetables are acquired and delivered.
- Verifying that the quality of all available goods aligns with the company's standards.

Qualification of Grocery Produce Assistant:
- A high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent degree is the desired qualification.
- One year of experience in a grocery, retail, or produce setting is preferred, with a bonus for candidates familiar with natural foods.
- Preference for candidates with a year of experience in overseeing others.
- Compliance with the necessary food safety training courses and certifications as dictated by regulations is essential, and it is vital to ensure that certifications are current and appropriately registered when required.
