Role and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Order Picker revolve around assisting in efficient warehouse processes and maintaining accuracy in order fulfillment:
- Collaborate within a team setting to facilitate the functionality of the distribution center.
- Assemble orders meticulously and securely following directed procedures.
- Wrap and prepare processed store orders for shipping.
- Meet safety standards while efficiently loading shipments onto trucks.
- Secure items from vendors and organize products for outbound pick and pack procedures.
- Refill products in primary and secondary storage areas when required.
- Unbox, transfer, and open product cases for stocking shelves.
- Handle daily paperwork, records, and documentation tasks accurately.
- Inspect sales directives to identify inventory references, sizes, color options, and quantities of products.
- Collect products from bins and shelves, ensuring inventory accuracy.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated precision in detail-oriented tasks and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
- Regular physical capability essential for lifting, moving, and handling merchandise.
- Strong dedication to safety and adherence to organizational protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in organizing and supervising distribution, warehouse, or logistics activities.
- Knowledge of inventory control strategies and order selection processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
