Job Summary of Produce Associate:

This role supports the Produce Department by receiving, displaying, facing, and maintaining products efficiently while providing friendly assistance to customers. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to department standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Produce Associate:

• Receive, organize, and display produce items according to department standards.
• Face and maintain products to ensure freshness, proper rotation, and visual appeal.
• Assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner, responding to questions or requests.
• Perform basic PC entries required for inventory and department tracking.
• Operate department equipment safely, including scales, handcarts, knives, pineapple coring machines, and sanitizing tools.
• Maintain department cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Meet department productivity, quality, and standard operating procedures.
• Work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required.

Qualifications and Experience of Produce Associate:

• Previous experience in produce operations or retail grocery environment preferred.
• Self-directed and results-oriented with a positive professional image.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with weights, measures, and tally unit product retail prices.
• Proficiency in operating department equipment safely (must be 18+ to operate certain equipment).
