Job Summary:

As a Skilled Meat Specialist, you will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinds. You will also assist in seafood merchandising, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items, and provide support in the rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli. Your expertise will aid members in selecting meats and creating special meat arrangements, while ensuring sanitation and safety standards in the meat department are upheld.

Understand Your Business:

• Access and interpret production and financial performance reports for your department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist members with inquiries and recommendations related to meat, poultry, and seafood while preparing special cuts.
• Process fresh meats according to company standards and package them for sale.
• Ensure the meat case is stocked and reflects current inventory.
• Maintain fully stocked seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases, rotating products per expiration dates.
• Keep the meat department clean and sanitized, including equipment and display areas.
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery, verifying quality standards are met.
• Receive and unpack products into the appropriate storage areas.
• Adhere to club policies and perform other relevant duties as needed.
• Consistent, reliable attendance is crucial for this role.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a meat cutting training program or apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is necessary.
• Familiarity with automatic and hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment:

• Regularly move about on hard surfaces and adjust positions for product examinations, involving bending and reaching.
• Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds; heavier or awkward items may require assistance.
• Work in cooler areas with exposure to temperature variations and potential noise from equipment.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the estimated compensation range for this position is $21.25 - $26.63, depending on various factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
