Job Summary for Baker:

Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item's product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment. Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions.

Main tasks, primary responsibilities, and essential accountabilities:

• Responds to inquiries and offers suggestions for bakery items. Fields calls from customers and handles special requests.
• Bakes and finalizes all bakery goods based on the handling guidelines for each item, utilizing ovens and appropriate machinery. Makes use of bakery production outlines to establish production quantities and display standards. Gathers items for the following day's operations.
• Wraps up parcels of a variety of baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, and cakes, as required. Removes frozen bakery products and distributes the correct amounts based on the bakery production schedule.
• Adorns specialty or customized products with decorative details.
• Maintains bakery product quality through appropriate storage, rotation, and handling procedures that align with food safety and freshness policies.
• Reviews, accepts, and organizes bakery orders for storage. Maintains proper rotation and storage of bakery inventory while adhering to food safety measures, guidelines for product freshness, and handling protocols.
• Maintains the company's quality standards by inspecting the freshness of products daily, identifying expired items, and implementing the necessary protocols for dealing with them.
• Generates labels and price markers for bakery products and carries out price verification duties when necessary. Ensures that all items are priced correctly.
• Takes care of cleaning and sanitizing bakery machinery, presentation fixtures, and food contact areas, which may involve ovens, cooking tools, refrigerated showcases, product displays, and serving counters.
• Operates bakery machinery utilizing proper work methods in line with safety policies and procedures.
• Respects and abides by all the policies and procedures of the club.
• Carries out additional tasks as requested, potentially extending support to other areas of the business.
• Uninterrupted, anticipated, full attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:

• A history of working in a bakery or customer-centric role is advantageous.
• Background in baked goods desirable.
• Participants must be 18 years of age at a minimum.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• The greater part of the time is spent traversing surfaces that are not solid. It may be necessary on occasion to place oneself in a specific posture to assess or survey items, which may involve activities like flexing, grasping, dragging, stretching, propelling, and/or leaning.
• Includes the frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds in weight. There may be situations where heavy or bulky items exceeding 30 pounds need to be lifted and relocated with the help of others.
• Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
• The use of cleaning products is a regular occurrence.
