The Bakery Order Clerk executes tasks within the bakery and interacts with customers as directed by the Bakery Manager.

The Bakery Order Clerk is tasked with providing amicable, polite, and supportive assistance to patrons within the Bakery department. They aid customers in selecting bakery items, maintain the tidiness of shelves and display cases, and refill and rotate self-service exhibits located in the front of the store and next to the bakery section. Additionally, they collaborate with customers to process special orders and work alongside the Baker to determine any baking or decorating needs. Furthermore, the Bakery Clerk is involved in contributing to department sanitation by cleaning the floors with soap and water.

Responsibilities of Bakery Order Clerk:

• Fluent in Spanish and English, adept at communicating with the general public and coworkers effectively.
• Understand simple guidelines, merchandise stickers, pricing indicators, shelf tags, short written correspondence, and office announcements.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information with clarity and precision to customers, clients, and other employees in one-on-one and small group contexts.
• Employ everyday reasoning to complete thorough but uncomplicated written or oral prompts.
• This role may involve the regular lifting and transporting of objects up to 25 pounds, frequent handling of items weighing up to 45 pounds, and occasional lifting and moving of loads up to 60 pounds.
