Job Summary of Bakery Associate:

Working closely with the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Associate assists customers and performs multiple bakery-related duties.

The Bakery Associate is responsible for providing friendly, respectful, and beneficial aid to customers in the Bakery area. They assist clients in choosing bakery products, manage the cleanliness of shelves and display cases, and restock and revolve self-serve displays situated upfront and adjacent to the bakery section. Moreover, they cooperate with customers to process special orders and coordinate with the Baker to identify baking or decorating necessities. Furthermore, the Bakery Clerk contributes to departmental sanitation by washing the floors with soap and water.

In a fast-paced grocery store environment, tasks involve physical demands like lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as sensory requirements. Responsibilities of Bakery Associate:

• Skilled in both Spanish and English writing and communication, capable of engaging with the general public and fellow employees.
• Grasp easy-to-follow instructions, product tags, pricing symbols, shelf labels, brief written communications, and workplace notes.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively convey data to clients, customers, and fellow employees in one-on-one and group settings.
• Use basic comprehension to follow in-depth yet not overly complicated written or spoken directives.
• Expected to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, handle items weighing up to 45 pounds frequently, and occasionally manage loads of up to 60 pounds.
