Job Summary:

The Store Support Associate Team Leader at Whole Foods Market plays a vital role in supporting daily store operations, particularly in customer service and front-end support. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, this position helps manage cash handling, merchandising, labor, and compliance efforts while fostering a positive environment for both customers and team members. Responsibilities:

• Model and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer interaction reflects Whole Foods Market’s commitment to quality and care.
• Support the Team Leader in managing store operations, including expense control, buying, merchandising, labor scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the department lead and point of contact in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Select, train, mentor, and motivate team members to build a cohesive, high-performing workforce.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Monitor customer flow and adjust team deployment to meet service demands.
• Uphold store standards and promote national, regional, and store initiatives.
• Communicate the store’s vision and goals consistently to all team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 18 months retail experience with at least 6 months in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with a growth mindset toward increased responsibilities.
• Advanced product knowledge and enthusiasm for Whole Foods Market’s philosophy and offerings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for coaching and mentoring others.
• Proficient in basic math for inventory and financial tracking, and comfortable with Microsoft Office and operational tools.
• Thorough understanding of safety policies, regulatory requirements, and retail best practices.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary:

Hourly wage range: $21.55 – $28.28, commensurate with experience and location.
