Job Summary of Shift Lead Associate:

The Shift Lead Associate oversees the day-to-day tasks of store team members in the absence of higher-level management, such as the Store Manager or Assistant Store Managers, during designated shifts.In this role, the Shift Lead Associate is tasked with managing store operations by ensuring the store opens and closes on time, safeguarding store assets and finances, and supervising staff performance throughout their shifts.Additionally, the Shift Lead Associate supports the store management team in upholding standards related to the store's overall maintenance, quality, safety, security, and cleanliness initiatives. Providing excellent customer service is a key responsibility of the Shift Lead Associate, and all job responsibilities must be carried out following company guidelines and protocols. When the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is on duty, the Shift Lead reverts to their primary job duties as outlined.

Responsibilities of Shift Lead Associate:

• In charge of initiating and finalizing store operations as per set protocols
• Supervises and oversees the daily tasks of both full and part-time staff working across various departments within the store.
• Interacts with clients in a warm and polite way
• Handles customer issues, such as resolving complaints through exchanges and returns
• Records grievances and implements necessary actions to address the root cause of the concern
• Performs initial administrative tasks in the front end, such as tallying cash, preparing registers, depositing and withdrawing cash, confirming register amounts, and dealing with gift card transactions
• Prepares reports for an electronics store and presents findings to the Store Manager
• Assumes responsibilities for cashiering and restocking tasks as needed
• Raises staff concerns like disciplinary measures, discrepancies in cash handling, attendance problems, performance issues, and notable customer complaints to the Store Manager or District Manager
• Vendors are attended to without delay, which includes the acceptance of shipments and deliveries
• Stock inventory in every department involves tasks like replenishing and sorting produce, managing meat supplies, and monitoring expiration dates, as well as restocking dairy and egg products
• Verifies that the store is adhering to the regulations and guidelines set by the company concerning health and safety protocols
• Manages emergencies effectively by following evacuation protocols
• Safeguards the assets, finances, and goods of the organization
• Confirms that loss prevention protocols are adhered to on a daily basis
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the store, performing cleaning duties consistently during working hours
• Acts as the initial point of contact for media and regulatory guests and directs them to the Store Manager
• May take part in the panel interview process but lacks the power to finalize hiring choices
• Carries out additional responsibilities as directed, such as assisting in various sections of the organization

Qualification of Shift Lead Associate:

• Individuals must be at least 18 years old to be eligible
• A High School diploma or its equivalent is a prerequisite
• A thorough understanding of products and the skills to educate fellow team members
• Having prior experience in training or supervising is advantageous
• When evaluating candidates, the company values a strong work record, which encompasses attendance, job proficiency, safety adherence, policy conformity, and performance oversight
• Competency in fundamental mathematics abilities is necessary, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
• Proficiency in the English language is required for reading, writing, and verbal communication

• Proficiency in Spanish or any other language is an added advantage

Physical Requirements of Shift Lead Associate:

• Must be able to repeatedly handle objects weighing between 20 to 50 pounds throughout the shift, including reaching, bending, balancing, lifting, and transporting
• It is necessary to possess the capacity to be upright, ambulate, or be in motion for prolonged durations
• Needs the capacity to apply force, lift, clutch, rotate, and engage in cutting movements for prolonged durations
• Consistently operates in cold storage units, refrigerated areas, walk-in coolers, both indoors and outdoors at the establishment in varying weather conditions and while loading/unloading delivery trucks
