Job Summary of Merchandising Manager:
This position involves learning and executing the daily operations of a retail location, supporting store leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. It includes hands-on training with experienced leaders to gain knowledge in staffing, inventory, food safety, merchandising, and customer service. The individual will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked environment, while developing skills for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Merchandising Manager:
- Establish a pleasant environment by warmly welcoming visitors.
- Support the functioning of the store by familiarizing yourself with and helping with scheduling, coaching, and training team members.
- Manage stock levels and replenish goods to sustain proper inventory amounts and organized shelf layouts.
- Enforce guidelines pertaining to food safety, quality oversight, and merchandising regulations in culinary outlets.
- Guarantee a clean and hygienic environment in the store, focusing on maintaining the coffee stations, food sections, and restrooms.
- Capably run the cash register and offer help with applicable financial procedures.
- Help with event and meeting preparations, as well as assisting with store readiness on weekends and holidays.
- Journey as needed to back up adjacent store sites or to convey cash deposits.
- Execute responsibilities as allocated by store leadership or supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience of Merchandising Manager:
- The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
- A requirement for this position is one year of previous experience in retail, food service, or guest service.
- Preference is given to those with leadership background in a related setting.
- Possession of ServSafe or food safety certification is optional, but it can be beneficial.
- Competent in engaging with patrons and colleagues in a vibrant workplace.
- Expressing powerful dynamism, adaptability, and a preparedness to accommodate the team’s necessities.
- Having a basic understanding of computer functions can be advantageous.
