Job Summary

As a Meat Specialist, you will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and display fresh and processed meats, including grinds. You will assist with merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items. You will ensure the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the meat department.

Your Responsibilities:

• Engage with members, providing recommendations and assistance regarding meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepare special orders as needed.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats according to company standards, packaging and labeling items appropriately.
• Ensure the meat case showcases all available products and maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Rotate products based on expiration dates, disposing of damaged or expired items properly.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and display areas within the meat department.
• Inspect and store received products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
• Adhere to all club policies and procedures while maintaining a commitment to excellent service.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, including cross-departmental support.
• Ensure regular attendance, as it is an essential part of the job.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a meat cutting training program or apprenticeship is required.
• Previous experience in meat cutting is necessary.
• Familiarity with wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment:

• Most work occurs on hard surfaces, requiring movement and bending.
• Lift and move objects up to 30 pounds; heavier items may require assistance.
• Exposure to cool temperatures and potential loud noises, with some contact with cleaning agents.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the estimated salary range for this position is $19.75 - $24.75, influenced by various factors including location, education, and experience.
