The Deli Bakery Associate is in charge of ensuring that all food displays are well-stocked and maintained in a hygienic manner throughout operating hours. Responsibilities of Deli Bakery Associate:

  • Maintains the cleanliness of deli and bakery displays, storage spaces, and workstations to ensure a safe environment, which involves tasks such as tidying shelves and items, preventing liquid spills on floors, and clearing away any potentially dangerous debris.
  • Stocks deli and bakery display cases entail arranging products, ensuring they are facing forward, adequately filled, and organized according to the Deli/Bakery Service Department's guidelines, along with verifying that tags and prices are correct.
  • Evaluates the rotation of every deli and bakery item with a focus on identifying expired inventory and removing items that are outdated or spoiled.
  • Positively addressing customer queries and aiding customers in their purchases, providing information, and assisting in product selection is essential. This role involves promoting and upselling products to customers.
  • Checks, examines, and records items to ensure they match the shipment details, are at the correct temperature, and meet quality standards.
  • Oversees the displays at the checkout area; guarantees a mix of recipe cards, discounts, promotional content, and details about free samples.
  • Involves the operation and utilization of various tools like knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, trash compactors, pallet jacks, and manual carts.
