Frozen Department Manager

Job Summary of Frozen Department Manager:

Responsible for the management and operation of the Frozen Food Department, including tasks such as stocking items, rotating inventory, and ensuring proper storage conditions are maintained, all while upholding a clean and organized environment for customers.

Responsibilities of Frozen Department Manager:

• Compare deliveries to invoices to ensure accuracy, and communicate any discrepancies in quantity to the appropriate individuals.
• Tasked with making alterations to prices within the department.
• Ensure inventory remains at an appropriate level by employing effective ordering strategies.
• Implement a system for managing product turnover to uphold quality and discard expired goods.
• Continuation of reduced prices on specific products.
• Inform the relevant supervisor promptly upon identification of temperature irregularities in cabinets, racks, and designated storage zones.
• Effectively manage flawed items by notifying relevant parties of any issues and securely housing them for sales staff handling.
• Uphold strong customer connections.
• Extend greetings to each client entering our store and remain attentive during your tasks.
• Follow the guidelines set forth in the company policies found in the Employee Handbook.
• Transfer merchandise to storage areas and showcase them for retail.
• Keep shelves and cabinets organized and well-maintained for the satisfaction of shoppers.

Qualifications of Frozen Department Manager:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, ordering, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds thirty percent (30%) of the time.
